Liam & Noel Gallagher Step In After Scalpers Sell Oasis Reunion Tickets For More Than $12K

Following the announcement of an Oasis reunion tour by the UK’s most famous beefing brothers, Liam and Noel Gallagher, fans have been frantically trying to secure tickets. The excitement has been so overwhelming that the band has had to step in to ensure the safety of their fans.

If you are unaware that Oasis has reunited, you must be living under a rather large rock. If this article is your first introduction to the fact that the creators of "Wonderwall" are touring again, then it's better late than never.

Since the Gallaghers decided to put aside their 15-year-long feud and announced 17 shows across the UK, Ireland, and Australia, the internet has been in a frenzy.

Just joking, they aren't coming here, RIP (So the only logical option is to go to them 👀).

With the online sales for the much-anticipated Oasis tickets underway, fans are reminded of the unsavory practices of ticket-resellers, often considered the live music industry’s equivalent of landlords.

Tickets for the various Oasis reunion shows are priced online from AUD $291 to AUD $982, with VIP seats at London’s Wembley Stadium being on the higher end.

However, not long after tickets went on sale, it was noted online that some third-party sellers had dramatically inflated the prices, in some cases costing thousands of extra dollars.

One user on X (formerly known as Twitter) reported seeing Oasis tickets on StubHub priced as high as AUD $12,318.85.

Honestly, I want to shout “So, Sally can wait” until I have no breath left and perish in the mosh pit like anyone else.

But $12K is a bit too much for me. Apologies for being a downer.

The X user also mentioned seeing a ticket priced at a staggering £22,045, or AUD $42,787.01, which is likely beyond anyone’s financial reach.

In response to the outrageous ticket price inflation, Liam and Noel Gallagher themselves intervened, urging fans to ensure their tickets are purchased through official channels.

“We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale. Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via Ticketmaster and Twickets,” Oasis stated on X.

“Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be canceled by the promoters.”

Ultimately, if anyone is going to profit significantly from the Oasis reunion tour, it’s those offering ticket insurance.

Because as much as we are thrilled to see Noel and Liam back together, there is no way I’m not preparing myself emotionally and financially for them to potentially break up again and cancel the tour after a few gigs.

@ehunzi Hope they make it, I’ll pay good money to see them fight on stage. #oasis #oasisreunion #oasisconcert #liamgallagher #noahgallagher ♬ Champagne Supernova – Oasis

Love you lads, but I need to look after myself.

And also not lose $12K in the process.
