Well, well, well, if you thought the Laneway 2025 lineup couldn’t possibly improve, I have some outstanding news for you. It certainly can, thanks to a surprise addition to the roster. Who might it be, you wonder? It’s none other than Djo, also known as Joe Keery.
When the Laneway 2025 lineup was revealed last week, eagle-eyed fans noticed that one of the colorful blobs, which typically feature the artists’ names, was instead filled with a bunch of little aliens instead of a name.

With pre-sale tickets becoming available tomorrow, the masterminds behind Laneway have confirmed that Djo is the talented artist whose name is meant to fill that blob.
Djo’s inclusion in the lineup is a significant moment for fans of the “End of Beginning” singer, as it will mark his first performance in both Australia and New Zealand.
His addition to the lineup was hinted at on Instagram at 1pm AEST Monday with a playful voice note from the Stranger Things actor.
“Hey, it seems like you have an extra slot. Any way I can join in?” the mysterious voice note inquired.
Naturally, in the comments, fans speculated about the identity of the voice.
“Not a scientist but that doesn’t sound like Chappell Roan,” one commenter joked.
“Your mic is broken, Lorde,” said another.
“THAT’S DJO I KNOW THAT VOICE,” declared a Joe Keery fan page, and indeed they do.
But that’s not the only update the festival has for us!
The Sydney leg of the festival will now be held at Centennial Park instead of the Sydney Showground. We certainly appreciate a nature-filled setting, don’t we, girls?!
If Djo’s inclusion in the festival is the tipping point for you, you can still sign up for the Afterpay pre-sale HERE.
