The Bey-hive is buzzing with excitement as Queen B, Beyoncé, finally claimed a gleaming, golden gramophone for Album Of The Year with Cowboy Carter at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Can I get a yee-freaking-haw?
In a historic, culturally significant victory, Ms Yoncé has at last secured her first-ever Album Of The Year Grammy at this year’s awards.
This major achievement follows years of being overlooked, but despite the long wait, fans are celebrating as their favorite artist reaches this monumental milestone.

While accepting the award, the cherished musician reflected on the long journey to this moment, expressing gratitude to everyone involved in bringing Cowboy Carter to life.
“I just feel incredibly full and deeply honored. It’s been many, many years,” the “16 Carriages” artist began in her acceptance speech for Album Of The Year.
“I just want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, for all of the hard work.
“I dedicate this to Miss (Linda) Martell, and I hope we continue to push forward, opening doors.”
During her speech, Beyoncé also extended her gratitude to the firefighters who bravely battled the destructive Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year.
“I want to thank and commend all the firefighters for keeping us safe,” she said.
Why is Beyoncé’s Album Of The Year win a big deal?
Although everyone knows it’s been a long journey for Beyoncé to finally become an Album Of The Year Grammy winner — with Lemonade, Beyoncé and Renaissance unjustly overlooked in my opinion — Beyoncé is now the second Black woman to have ever claimed the title, following the incredible Lauryn Hill who won the award in 1999 for The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
Beyoncé also stands as the first Black woman to win Album Of The Year in the 21st century and the first Black artist to win Best Country Album ever — a bittersweet achievement given the profound Black influences deeply rooted in country music.

Just a day before the Grammys, Beyoncé unexpectedly announced the Cowboy Carter Tour! Sadly, it seems Australia will miss out on the thrilling rodeo, just as we did with the Renaissance Tour.
Now, if country music isn’t typically your style, Cowboy Carter is truly groundbreaking. It’ll have you bucking like a mechanical bull, as Yoncé herself stated!
Now, excuse me as I mosey on out of my chair to the nearest saloon for a lively line dance — naturally, to Cowboy Carter alone.
