The Kid LAROI has taken to social media to refute allegations that his team was responsible for a series of dubious posts targeting Tate McRae, amidst rumors that the duo has parted ways. 

The Australian musician addressed the situation on X this Saturday, responding to a user who alleged his “team is paying for slander tweets against Tate”.

Included in that post were screenshots of users who tweeted comments such as “Tate fumbled LAROI” and “Tate lost The Kid LAROI bag”, referring to speculation that the couple, who have been dating since January of last year, have recently ended their relationship.

“I have NOTHING to do with this and I DO NOT support this behavior in any way,” LAROI wrote in response to the suspicious posts.

He mentioned that his team is “working to get these [posts] removed”.

The “STAY” singer also shared a screenshot of his text messages informing his team about the posts and inquiring if they knew their origin.

“Guys is this coming internally?”, the text reads.

“If so can we please have these taken down. Tate and I are on good terms and this just looks messy/whack.”

In reply, a member of LAROI’s team stated the shady posts “didn’t come from us” while another confirmed they will “take action on this”.

LAROI’s response comes amidst widespread speculation about his relationship with McRae, with his mention of being “on good terms” with the pop star interpreted by some fans as an indication that the pair — who initially met through mutual friends — have broken up. 

“WAIT SO YALL ACTUALLY BROKE UP,” one X user wrote, with another commenting “‘good terms’? oh yea they broke up”.

Despite the rumors, neither party has officially confirmed the breakup, with LAROI stating as recently as last month that McRae is “my girlfriend” and describing her as “the hardest working artist I’ve ever met”. 

This comes shortly after the release of LAROI’s latest track “Hot Girl Problems”, which was accompanied by a music video featuring appearances from Love Island stars Iris Kendall and Hannah Fields.
