If you thought the drama surrounding Katy Perry’s rumored date with Justin Trudeau had simmered down, think again, because her former fiancé, Orlando Bloom, has entered the scene.
In case you missed it, the “Roar” singer took us on a Blue Origin orbit earlier this week when pictures of her dining with the former Canadian Prime Minister ignited rumors that the unlikely duo might be romantically linked.
Following that, Trudeau was seen attending Perry’s concert in Montreal, and insiders close to the pair insisted their interaction was purely platonic. However, Bloom has now weighed in with his opinion via a meme shared by the satirical publication The Onion.
The spoof publication, renowned for its humorous headlines similar to those of The Betoota Advocate, shared what looked like an AI-generated image of Bloom enjoying a meal with former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, clearly referencing his ex's comparable outing with another global leader.

The meme features the unexpected duo smiling across a candlelit table, seemingly generated from an original image that actually captured Trudeau, Merkel, and German diplomat Christoph Heusgen having a real dinner back in 2016.
Clearly enjoying the satire, Bloom took to The Onion’s Instagram comments to express his reaction. He responded with a series of applause emojis, showing that he’s not only in on the joke but also aware of his ex’s recent rendezvous with Trudeau.
The Onion’s post adds to the ongoing buzz surrounding Perry and Trudeau’s alleged relationship, with some sources claiming the pair are just friends and others telling People that they “are interested in each other”.
Perry and Bloom ended their engagement last month after a six-year relationship, while Trudeau separated from his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, earlier in 2023.
