So, you're thinking about asking for a pay raise?
Welcome to the club. I hardly know anyone who would refuse more money. Especially with the current cost of living, even a small increase can make a significant impact.

“This mindset leads young individuals to assume they should simply request a pay raise after a set period, particularly if they perceive everyone else is doing it,” Soph tells me.
“In reality, you should be considering a pay raise if there’s been a change in your impact on the company, such as increased responsibilities or improved performance.”
We’ll delve into that shortly, but first, let’s explore what you need to know before asking for a salary boost.
Know your company (as well as possible)
Before you even contemplate requesting a pay raise, familiarize yourself with your company.
Many organizations lack transparency when it comes to asking for a pay increase or promotion.
