Who is performing at the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show?
Legendary rapper Kendrick Lamar confirmed the news with a promotional video where he stands in front of a massive American flag on the football field.
“My name’s Kendrick Lamar, and I’ll be performing at Super Bowl LIX,” he announces. “Will you be coming? I hope so. Remember, there’s only one shot to win a championship. No second chances.”

In a press release, Lamar stated, “Rap music continues to be the most influential genre of our time. I’ll be there to remind the world why. They chose the right one.”
The performance will be guided by creative direction from Lamar’s company with Dave Free, pgLang.
Diversified Production Services is responsible for producing the halftime show telecast in collaboration with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and Jesse Collins as executive producers, with Hamish Hamilton serving as director, and Roc Nation also acting “as the strategic entertainment advisor for the live performance.”

Since Apple Music is the official sponsor of the halftime show, the 2025 Super Bowl will officially be called the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.
Meanwhile, hip-hop heavyweight Jay-Z has praised the Super Bowl’s decision for its 2025 performer.
“Kendrick Lamar is genuinely a once-in-a-generation artist and performer,” Jay-Z remarked.
“His profound passion for hip-hop and culture shapes his artistic vision. He possesses an unmatched ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work goes beyond music, and his impact will be felt for years to come.”
