This monumental announcement follows a swirl of rumors suggesting that the famous brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have reconciled to plan a series of shows in the UK in 2025. According to British tabloid The Sun, the band might also make an appearance at the Glastonbury Festival.
On Monday, Liam Gallagher posted a cryptic message on X with a date and time — 8am, the 27th of August 2024, styled in the iconic Helvetica Black Oblique font from the Oasis logo.
Interestingly, this post was also shared by Noel Gallagher and the band’s X account.
The reunion buzz began after an insider source revealed the reunion details to The Sun.
“This is the reunion that nobody thought would ever occur,” an insider shared with the publication.
“Liam and Noel have been at odds for well over a decade, but they have secretly been reconnecting.”
Even though Noel once remarked that he wouldn’t reunite — not even for £100 million — the source indicates they've reached an agreement.
“A proposal was presented, and both agreed – much to the amazement of those around them,” the insider continued.
“There will be performances in the UK next summer, and both Noel and Liam are eager to perform together again.”
Why is an Oasis reunion such a big deal?
If you're unfamiliar with the Oasis saga – a reunion is an extraordinary event.
The band’s founding members include brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher. While sibling rivalry is common, these two notoriously clashed during their time in the band. Noel made a dramatic exit 15 years ago this week while they were on tour in Paris. Although it wasn't his first departure, this time it lasted.
What ensued was a highly publicized, contentious feud between the brothers, with both frequently making disparaging remarks about each other to the media whenever possible.

Now, it appears they’ve resolved their differences and are ready to delight their fans with a remarkable experience. Good for them!
