The McDonald's Ice-Cream Cakes From Your Childhood Birthdays Still Exist & It's A McYes From Me

Prepare to journey back in time because McDonald’s has officially announced that you can purchase their nostalgic ice cream birthday cakes directly from their stores.

One of the most unforgettable aspects of a McDonald's birthday party was undoubtedly that ice cream cake. Recently, Australian TikToker Bec Hardgrave—famous for the giant chicken McNugget hack—set out on a quest to find one of these treats.

“With my birthday approaching, I began reminiscing about the classic McDonald’s birthday parties,” Hardgrave shared.

“That's when I remembered the McDonald’s birthday cakes, specifically the ice cream cakes.”

The video then shows her navigating her local McDonald's drive-through, where she successfully acquired this nostalgic treasure.

“Oh my gosh, they actually had it,” she exclaimed.

“Here’s the receipt. It cost $14.95. It doesn't even come in McDonald’s packaging, but the guy literally handed it to me saying, ‘I’ve never seen anyone buy this before’.”

Initially, I was quite skeptical about how effortlessly Hardgrave managed to obtain this relic—my thoughts immediately went to influencer privileges—however, a spokesperson for the fast food giant confirmed to news.com.au that these ice cream cakes are indeed available.

“We love seeing our customers relive special memories at Macca’s,” the spokesperson told the publication.

“The nostalgic McDonald’s ice cream cake is available for purchase in select restaurants, subject to stock availability.

“If you’re interested in buying one, we recommend calling your local restaurant ahead of time to check if it’s in stock.”

Most Australians fondly remember celebrating their birthdays with a lively party at Mickey Dees. Even now, I find myself reminiscing about the high chairs adorned with Macca’s mascots Grimace and Ronald McDonald, people asking whether I preferred a cheeseburger or nuggets for lunch, and, of course, that iconic cake.

Macca’s truly belonged to a different era before it transformed with the modern architecture we see today. No apologies here, but Macca’s, you’ve taken a step down.

While I cherish the thought of reliving the old McDonald’s experience with this ice cream cake, I earnestly plead with Ronald McDonald to bring back the original Happy Meal toys.

The Strawberry Shortcake lip balms and Lizzie McGuire Happy Meal collection are literally my Roman Empire.
