Friends, the wonderful team at Amazon Australia is back with their exclusive Christmas pudding, and this year’s edition is somehow even more extravagant than 2023’s viral cob loaf pudding.

Crafted by award-winning pastry chef, TV personality, and self-proclaimed ‘pastry rebel’ Anna Polyviou, alongside the country Victorian small business Pud For All Seasons, this year’s Amazon Everything Christmas Pudding is a savory masterpiece that combines the flavors of a traditional pudding with hints of ham, turkey, gravy, pumpkin, cherry, rosemary, and more.

While we’re not here to dismiss anyone’s taste, the flavor combination certainly sounds intriguing. Amazon Australia and Polyviou announced their collaboration on Instagram, and the audience (including us) is cautiously optimistic yet eager to experience this distinctive blend of Aussie flavors.

“My brain cannot comprehend, let alone the taste buds,” remarked one commenter, while others expressed excitement and were “drooling” in anticipation.

When questioned about the collaboration, Polyviou stated, “I embraced the challenge of transforming a traditional Christmas pudding into something that resonates with our great nation in partnership with pudding experts ‘Pud for all Seasons’. Christmas is one of those rare occasions where anything goes. We mix not only bites but flavors too, and that’s the magic we aimed to capture in the ‘Amazon Everything Christmas Pudding’.”

Although Polyviou won’t be personally crafting each pudding, the small Australian business, Pud For All Seasons, who also partnered on the pudding, has produced each limited-edition batch, available exclusively on Amazon.

Karen Kelly, Founder of Pud For All Seasons, commented, “We thoroughly enjoyed adapting our traditional plum pudding recipe to incorporate a diverse range of flavors synonymous with Aussie Christmas. To complement the launch of Amazon’s new pudding, Polyviou has also contributed three unique sauce recipes for Australians to try at home and drizzle over their savory puddings: vanilla butterscotch brandy custard, rich pale ale gravy, and roast veggie and cranberry jam gravy. YUM!
