As we inch toward the end of 2023, it’s safe to say this year has been quite a challenging one. Despite the rising cost of living impacting us all, the longing for a beachside escape from our daily lives is nearly irresistible.
Every year, around Easter, my family and I visit a holiday park. It’s a tradition I eagerly anticipate, filled with cherished memories from those trips. However, I hadn’t considered the idea of visiting a holiday park outside of our annual family vacations until recently!
Recently, I had the opportunity to explore two holiday parks, courtesy of Reflections Holiday Parks and NRMA Parks and Resorts. For one stay, I turned it into a getaway with my girlfriends, and for the other, I enjoyed a lovely romantic weekend with my boyfriend.
If you’re seeking an affordable summer vacation with family, friends, or a partner, I wholeheartedly recommend it.
To assist you in making a choice, I’ve compiled a list of some top-notch holiday parks worth considering.
Reflections Holiday Parks

No matter what kind of trip you’re after, Reflections has you covered! With 37 parks and 43 community reserves located on NSW Crown land, there are plenty of options. I stayed at the Forster location and had a fantastic time exploring the charming small town and enjoying the beach.
The parks offer a choice between staying in lush accommodations, such as cabins and tiny homes, or bringing your caravan to their powered sites. Alternatively, you can embrace the outdoors with your camping gear.
Their various stunning locations provide different activities and sights, so check out their website to plan the kind of trip you want.
If you’re a fan of wildlife, you’ll be delighted to find a rich diversity of coastal and country birdlife at all their parks.
NRMA Parks and Resorts

Not from NSW? Or perhaps you’re from NSW but wish to explore another state? NRMA Parks and Resorts has numerous locations across Australia, including Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, and some beautiful spots in NSW if you prefer staying closer.
We enjoyed our stay at the NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort on the Central Coast, complete with a resort-style pool and a beach literally right at your doorstep.
They provide a range of accommodation options as well as spaces to park your caravan and set up camp.
Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort

Situated just north of Batemans Bay on the NSW South Coast, Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort is nestled within the Murramarang National Park.
With direct beach access, the resort offers a variety of accommodations, including villas and beach houses, or you can opt for a more rustic experience with camping or caravan sites.
Besides the national park, which is easily accessible from your accommodation, the site is also conveniently close to Mogo Zoo and the Birdland Animal Park.
Blue Lagoon Beach Resort

Remember how I mentioned earlier that I visit a holiday park with my family every year? Well, this is the one!
Located on the Central Coast in NSW, this incredible resort is right on the beachfront and even features a pool and spa.
There are also cabins, along with caravan and camping sites, many of which offer ocean views—perfect for soothing your soul after the stresses of 2023.
Happy holidays!
