A group of fish that once resided at Infernos nightclub in London has been relocated following concerns raised by animal rights activists regarding their living conditions.
After numerous complaints directly to the venue and a flood of negative online reviews, the fish have been moved to a currently undisclosed location to enjoy their lives, as reported by the Sydney Morning Herald.
Infernos later informed The Telegraph, that the fish are “extremely happy” in their “new environment,” which somewhat resembles the comforting words you might use to console a child when their pet rabbit passes away.

A viral TikTok video served as the tipping point, although perhaps it's not the ideal metaphor to use regarding animal liberation, but it’s New Year’s Eve, so give me a break, folks.
Captioned “no matter how bad your life is, just remember you’re not a fish living at Infernos,” the video quickly gained popularity, with seemingly everyone in Clapham watching it.

It’s been a local sensation since the 1980s, with almost everyone who visits having a story to share.
In a 2023 Time Out London article titled “Euphoria, filth and mayhem: why do people love Infernos nightclub?”, one informant claimed to have seen “a man feeding MDMA to the fish in the fish tanks like Salt Bae“.

It’s probably fair to say that this fish welfare issue had been simmering (pun intended) for quite some time.
Personally, I’d wager that Margot adopted them all.
It seems like something she would do.
Hopefully, the fish won’t have to endure paying $600 a week for a tiny space cleverly disguised as a bedroom, as many Londoners do.
