The CEO Caught Cheating At The Coldplay Concert Is In Hot Water With His Wife

Cabot, who held the position of Chief People Officer at the New York-based tech firm, has reportedly stepped down following the scandal where she was caught in an embrace with CEO Andy Byron during the band's recent performance in Massachusetts.

“I can confirm that Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer, she has resigned,” a spokesperson confirmed to Page Six on Thursday. 

This follows days after Astronomer announced on its LinkedIn page that it had initiated an investigation into the situation, revealing at the time that both Cabot and Byron had been placed on temporary leave. 

Subsequently, a spokesperson announced Byron’s official resignation from the company as it begins the search for a new CEO.

“Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted,” the tech company stated last week, mentioning that Chief Product Officer, Pete DeJoy, will temporarily assume the role of interim CEO. 

Cabot’s next steps after her resignation remain unknown (though a magazine cover might be in her future), but it does signify the conclusion of her tenure as Astronomer’s CPO, a position she held since November 2024.

To recap, the whole debacle began last week when Coldplay frontman Chris Martin pointed the kiss cam at the pair as they hugged (and quickly separated) during the band’s performance at Gillette Stadium, Foxborough.

“Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” Martin joked, with the following days unfortunately confirming the former. 

In the aftermath, Byron’s wife, Megan — with whom he shares two children — removed the surname from her Facebook profile and deactivated her account entirely, as a new fan-recorded angle of the incident revealed Martin appearing to regret his decision to display the couple on the big screen.

Elsewhere, we discovered that the third person awkwardly grinning on screen was not the woman internet sleuths had identified, while DeJoy issued a statement calling the incident “unusual and surreal for our team”. 

In a few years, the term ‘Astronomer’ will be featured on whiteboards in modern history classes, and Sarah Paulson will have won an Emmy for her portrayal of Cabot in the inevitable Ryan Murphy adaptation.

But for now, I'll settle for the incident having its own Wikipedia page, or for an Urban Dictionary update where Astronomer becomes synonymous with ‘not keeping your affair private’.
