Sam Pang Roasted TF Out Of The Celebs During His Monologue At The 2025 Logie Awards

Sam Pang, our beloved award host, is back to lead the 2025 Logies at The Star for the third consecutive year. As expected, his opening monologue was nothing less than fiery. Think Carolina Reaper level of spice.

No one was spared, from arrogant, self-absorbed media tycoons to the notorious Channel 10 cancelling The Project. Shots were definitely fired.

“It is once again a tremendous honour to be your host tonight. It’s truly inspiring that despite the world’s current chaos, we as an industry remain steadfast in our dedication and courage to gather here tonight to celebrate ourselves,” Sam remarked, barely a minute into his monologue.

Ah, Sam. You're a self-aware treasure. Never change.

Another memorable jest was his comment on Gold Logie nominee Hamish Blake.

“Two-time winner Hamish Blake is nominated once again. I voted for Hamish, not because I don't support women, [but] simply because I want to witness him deliver the most awkward acceptance speech ever. Anyway, best of luck, mate. Now you know what it feels like to be a diversity hire,” quipped Sam.

If there's one thing Sam isn't afraid to do, it's speak his mind. As anticipated, the usual reality TV suspects weren't spared.

Farmer Wants A Wife boasts an impressive success rate. Over 15 seasons, the show has led to 11 marriages and 27 children, [making it] the primary way for farmers in this country to get screwed outside of Coles and Woolies,” Sam joked.

“[Meanwhile], Married at First Sight faced criticism for breaching ethical standards, but producers strongly defended themselves, claiming every contestant had to undergo a mental health evaluation, an STI test, and an IQ test. If they failed, they were on the show.”

Perhaps my favourite moments of humour? The ones aimed at the state of network TV, naturally.

“Channel 10, of course, replaced The Project with 10 News+, which is akin to the Titanic being replaced with the OceanGate submarine,” the Have You Been Paying Attention? star quipped.

“[Also], happy birthday to SBS, our most diverse network, celebrating 50 years. It's worth noting that before SBS, many Australians had never seen a Serbian penis.”

RIP. (Image Credit: Network 10)

The comedian forewarned that his monologue would be filled with not-so-subtle jabs, so none of this should come as a surprise. Nevertheless, he held NOTHING back this time around. Absolute king energy!!!!!
